Just because you live in Los Angeles does not mean you have to skip the ice skating tradition during the holidays. It always amazes me that event in this warm Los Angeles weather, there are still several ice rinks to go skating. Many of you may not know, I starting ice skating when I was just 6 years old and toyed with the idea of attempting to go professional – my skating partner (my brother) just dropped me too many times which helped me change my mind.

Ice at Santa Monica presented by Plaza at Santa Monica offers an 8,000-square-foot real ice-skating rink. Located in the heart of downtown Santa Monica (1324 Fifth Street), Ice remains open the entire month of December thru mid January. Head downtown to the Bai Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square in downtown LA. This is a beautiful rink and a lovely place to skate during the holidays. Surrounded by city lights, it makes a fantastic romantic or family setting. During the day the views are breathtaking as well.
