For over 25 years, Mi Piace has been a neighborhood favorite located in the heart of Old Pasadena. Mi Piace features an award-winning kitchen, bakery and lounge famous for its cuisine — light Italian cooking with a New York accent.

Designed by New York-based visionary, Tony Chi, Mi Piace’s trendy, upbeat decor brings Manhattan to mind, with its stylish martini lounge, stainless steel bar, illuminated tables and red leather couches.

Executive Chef Gil Saulnier is magnificent and surprises diners with all types of specials such as  Roasted Maine Lobster, Chilean Sea Bass, Mediterranean Branzino, or Prime Dry Aged Filet Mignon.

I can personally attest, there is nothing like homemade pasta, particularly at Mi Piace…it is divine. The Spaghetti Al Pomodoro is a favorite. The light tomato sauce hugged the al dente pasta – the fragrant basil, oil, shallots and garlic intermingled in a beautiful union of flavor. I was also very impressed with the Pappardelle Bolognese, with its three different meats. The noodles were a bit more tender and in a comforting way reminded me of my mother’s lasagna…so tasty.
