Venice Arts hosts a Narrative Space Video Screening, presented in conjunction inaugural exhibition in Venice Arts’ “Fresh Perspectives Visiting Curator” program.

Thurs 12.5 VeniceArtsNarrative Space is a project of OIMOA (the Optical Image Makers of America), a newly formed curatorial collective by Los Angeles-based artists Meg Madison, Kireilyn Barber, and Gregory Walker.

The video screening showcases 11 artists exploring the space of possibilities from which all stories come within the narrowing-yet-unlimited syntax of the photographic apparatus. Artists in the video exhibition: Kim Abeles, James Allen, Stephanie Allespach, Kireilyn Barber, Anita Bunn, Cynthia Greig, Michele Jaquis, Ken Marchionno, Julie Orser, Laura Parker, Dominic Quagliozzi, Jeremy J. Quinn, Michiko Yao, Mary Younakof.

The event is hosted by the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club – VVMC.

All toys and proceeds to be split between the Great Venice Toy Drive, The Vera Davis McClendon Youth and Family Center Toy Drive, and the LAPD Pacific Division Toy Drive.
Don’t forget to bring an unwrapped toy….or you will have to pay $20 admission. The event is Free when you donate a brand-new unwrapped toy.

HeaThurs 12.5 SanPedrod to San Pedro for a holiday artwalk. There is a tour which starts at 6:30, meeting at the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, 390 W. 7th Street.

Park free at Ports O’ Call near the San Pedro Art Association (open First Thursday), Berth 77, just north of the Ports O’Call Restaurant. The Red Car Trolley will pick you up there, and take you to (and from) downtown San Pedro. It runs from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.

San Pedro’s artwalk is the 1st Thursday of each month from 6pm – 9pm.
