The Los Angeles Times will kick off its first Book Club community event called The Los Angeles Times Book Club at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre.
Building on the success of the country’s largest literary event, the Festival of Books, The Times is launching a community book club to keep the storytelling and conversation going year-round. In Hollywood…”The Garden,” presented by Penske Projects opens at There There Gallery. Curated by Sophia Penske, the exhibition features paintings by Los Angeles-based, Japanese American artist Greg Ito and Brooklyn-born, multi-disciplinary artist, musician and poet Honor Titus.This exhibition is set within an abundant and symbolic garden. Lush flowers and verdant foliage arranged by floral designers Ezra Woods and Michael Woodcock of Pretend Flowers and Plants will wend through the gallery space reflecting the vibrant cultural and geographic context for the artists’ work.

This event was JUST put together….and it sounds awesome. Celebrate art and artists at a last minute pop-up art party. A building in Hollywood will soon be demolished, so why not create some art (on it and in it) and throw an art party? Ethos Contemporary Art presents “Utopia,” a group show. The talented J.T.
