In Venice, Photographer and former Los Angeles District Attorney Gil Garcetti’s moving photos will be showcased. His series “Water Is Key,” explores issues of safe water access in West Africa will be featured, as well as two of his other photographic series.
Garcetti’s past experience in the court room of law and the court room of public opinion helped him to gain attention for the problem of safe water in West Africa and has spurred his other photographic projects.
Proceeds from the sale of work in teh exhibition will benefit Wells Bring Hope, a nonprofit organization committed to to drilling wells to bring safe water and good sanitation to rural villages in Niger, and Venice Arts, a nonprofit organization that offers free art mentoring workshops for low-income youth.

The Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) presents Mirrors of the Mind: The Psychotherapist as Artist. The first of its kind, this exhibition explores and celebrates the intersection of psychology, arts and creativity in the vibrant Los Angeles mental health community. This two day event is a carefully curated mix of both visual and performing arts created by Los Angeles psychotherapists, including invited presentations on creativity and the power of art.

At La Luz de Jesus Gallery the posthumous retrospective for one of California’s most revered art spouse teams comes to and end on Sunday.
The event will be a remembrance for Chick Strandand Neon Park as well as the official release party of Chick’s Films on DVD.
La Luz de Jesus Gallery will be screening the film masters of several of Chick’s ground breaking films. There will be snacks and refreshments and several guest speakers.
