Start the day at the Brewery ArtWalk. Time for its annual open studio weekend at the happening art complex. This event in fabulous…I have attended many times. I even wrote an article in the Downtown News about it a couple years back about the 30 year anniversary.
Twice a year, the innovative, 
experimental artists of the Brewery open their homes and studios to art lovers and cultural explorers. This fall’s Brewery Artwalk promises to be one of the best ever with new artists, interactive exhibits and an opportunity to find your perfect holiday gifts early.
Born on the site of the Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, the Brewery Arts Complex began in 1982 and is the largest complex of its kind in the world.

by evocative contemporary artist Nikolai Soren Goodich.
In a Socratic dialogue written by Plato, Meno a representation of the unconnected consciousness as “I”, an individual, is reduced to aporia, or confusion. Within this analogue to chaos theory, the opening of transmutation allows for the genesis of ordered consciousness through the recollection of primordial existence, and all its eras thereafter, allowing the uninhibited consciousness to roam freely between parallels.
In this state, “I” as self, becomes a spectator, witnessing the unfolding of all cosmic alchemy. Unplugged from the greater consciousness, the “I” as self, encounters its own demons in its journey to understand divinity.

In his beautiful essay “Building Dwelling Thinking,” Martin Heidegger offers an understanding of the building as something that gathers the parts of an environment into a meaningful whole. In his view, the landscape is not present until the building has given it room.
A building is thus not a mere object in space, but rather, what happens when a space is made for a site and its inhabitants.

KCRW celebrates Halloween early with a Masquerade tonight at the Legendary Park Plaza Hotel. The annual event is a fundraiser for 
the LA public radio station and this year’s edition features DJ sets from Bonobo, TOKiMONSTA, Les Sins (the dance music alter-ego of Chaz Bundick aka Toro y Moi), NYC’s Chris Malinchak and 12 KCRW DJs in five themed rooms.
