In Glendale…

Sat-Aug9-BrandLibrary-Perception“Perception and Reality” is a group exhibition which explores the complex relationship between the self and the world. Perception and reality are personal concepts, and for artists these inspire creative flights of imagination and exploration.

“Perception and Reality” explores individual notions of reality with a mix of works that use a variety of traditional and nontraditional media in innovative ways. Srboohie Abajian explores the essence of the human need for companionship with acrylic on canvas and Rachel Roske‘s monochromatic paintings take as their subject a fleeting moment in time. For Catherine Tirr, the paintings refer to the landscape as it exists and as it can be observed, but also as it can be imagined. Olga Lah‘s sculpture makes us aware of the physicality of movement and space while also raising questions about perception. Renée Azenaro examines realities and relationships with multi-dimensional works with light, movement and shadows.
