On Saturday evening, Oct 2nd 2021, the Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) will host its sixth annual fundraising gala & auction. This year’s event will take place online and will honor fine art photographer Mona Kuhn with this year’s prestigious Stieglitz Award. Rebecca Morse, curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), will present the award.

LACP has secured over 130 outstanding photographs donated by award-winning photographers and galleries which will be auctioned via Artsy starting September 20th. Donors to the ARTSY auction include: Sam Abell, Jeff Bridges, Alejandro Cartegna, Keith Carter, Julia Dean, Greg Gorman, Lynn Goldsmith, Michael Kenna, David Hume Kennerly, Douglas Kirkland, the Ruth Orkin Foundation, Ali LeRoi, Joe McNally, Graham Nash, the Herb Ritts Foundation, Matthew Rolston, Josephine Sacabo, Aline Smithson, Art Streiber, Susan Spiritus Gallery, Shawn Theodore, Ellen Von Unwerth and many more.

During the Fundraising Gala several of these world-famous photographers will be talking about their work. Entertainment will include celebrity hosts and special guests, including an appearance by Norman Reedus. LACP will also be auctioning noteworthy experiences such as a private portrait sitting with Mona Kuhn!
