At Bergamot Station…in Santa Monica, bG Gallery presents an expansive survey of work by ceramic artist Linda Smith. An artist reception will be held on October 15, 2022 – the exhibit will run through November 14, 2022.

Linda Smith has long explored themes of love, loss, and empowerment. From her early works exploring themes of domesticity through to her recent monumental sculptures filled with pattern and joy, this exhibition explores the different ways in which she has depicted these concepts over the last four decades.

Linda’s latest monumental totem sculptures towering over 7ft in the middle of the gallery will be interspersed with her historical paintings tied together with an exploration of feminine power that has always been present in her artistic practice through wild and freeing patterning in the paintings in her early work and energizing spaced patterning in her contemporary pieces.
