Enjoy a free screening of new episode of PBS’s “Craft in America: INSPIRATION” at the Central Library in downtown LA. The Peabody Award-winning series explores America’s creative spirit through the language and traditions of the handmade revealing the magic and influence of craft. The screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with four Los Angles-based artists – Diedrick Brackens, Maddy Leeser, Mary Little, and Alison Saar.

“INSPIRATION” is one of two new episodes streaming starting November 1 and premiering on PBS December 16, 2022, at 9pm (check local listings). Featuring: Simon Rodia and Watts Towers; three generations of the Saar family: Alison Saar, Betye Saar, and Maddy Leeser; Hmong artists Suzanne Thao, Tousue Vang, Chef Yia Vang, and Mandora Young; textile artist Mary Little; weaver Diedrick Brackens; and potter Ayumi Horie.
