On View thru April 12, 2026: The Fowler Museum, Fire Kinship
Fire Kinship: Southern California Native Ecology and Art opened at the Fowler Museum at UCLA in January 2025. It was a strange time for all of the residents of Los Angeles, as the LA Fired devasted so many people. Hence the official opening was postponed till the third week of February 2025. Artist Spotlight: Eva Montealegre
LA FIRES UPDATE: Artist Eva Montealegre lost everything in the January 2025 LA fires. Her house was burned to the ground and her dog was lost. Her husband David and her had to re-start their lives with nothing. They even had to move out of LA, as they were NOT homeowners, and much of the aid did NOT help renters.
