July4-2019-Marina-fireworksbanner
The fireworks start at 9 p.m. and last 20 minutes. This is a popular event, with visitors traveling to the area from throughout the Southland. Parking is limited and local street closures start at 1pm in some areas. So arrive early and park if you don’t live in the area and walk or bike the rest of the way. Be safe – pick a designated driver (if you are driving).

Most locals ride bikes or walk, as traffic can be crazy. Speedway (the alley/street which runs parallel to the beach) will be packed with bikers and people walking to the Marina Peninsula. But there are other great places to see them such as Burton Chase Park – 13650 Mindanao Way and Fisherman’s Village – 13755 Fiji Way.
