Thurs 10.3 VeniceArts ManhattanShortVenice Arts hosts the 16th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival tonight. Film-goers in Los Angeles get a chance to mix and mingle will over 100,000 film lovers worldwide.

This year, MANHATTAN SHORT received a record breaking 628 short film entries from 48 countries, with films from Finland, UK, Australia, France, Ireland and the USA, making up the ten finalists. These films will not only entertain a global audience but will be judged by them as well. Audiences at each cinema will be handed a voting card upon entry and asked to vote for the one film they think should win.

Votes will be sent through to MANHATTAN SHORT HQ with the winner announced at ManhattanShort.com on Sunday Oct 6 at 10pm (EST)

There is an Artwalk tour which starts at 6:30, meeting at the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, 390 W. 7th Street.

Park free at Ports O’ Call near the San Pedro Art Association (open First Thursday), Berth 77, just north of the Ports O’Call Restaurant. The Red Car Trolley will pick you up there, and take you to (and from) downtown San Pedro. It runs from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Be sure to check website for updates!
