MThurs Dec6 Wallspace IvanLofstromeg Madison’s “The Stream of Life” features silver gelatin prints hand-sewn onto book pages, the additional lines of thread reflecting the past as a shadow on the moment of viewing.

In contrast, Lofstrom’s work,  6’x6′ painted canvases, are minimal in nature and maximal in presentation. This is the first showing for Lofstom and his series encompasses 44 pieces, with a selection of 14 on show at Wallspace.

If you are up to venturing outside of LA…we’ve got a couple of art walks for you.

If you are in the San Pedro area, they offer a lovely event, which I have been to several times. Each month the Artwalk tour starts at 6:30, meeting at the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, 390 W. 7th Street.

Park free at Ports O’ Call near the San Pedro Art Association (open First Thursday), Berth 77, just north of the Ports O’Call Restaurant. The Red Car Trolley will pick you up there, and take you to (and from) downtown San Pedro. It runs from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
