In Palos Verdes…
Palos Verdes Art Center transforms its center into a Sunday afternoon coffee house serving up poetry and pie. Writer Henry Cherry will be on hand to share pie-eating experiences from his past as a gourmand in New Orleans.
As the event progresses, he’ll perform a poem created for Palos Verdes Art Center and inspired by the exhibitions Mark V. Lord: L.A. Noir and Kadir Lopez: Havana Noir.

In Playa del Rey…
Head to the Playa Vista shopping center aka the Runway Playa Vista to see the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers from 3-5pm.
The Runway Playa Vista is hosting a holiday block party with all day fun on Old Town Center Drive & Runway from 11am-5pm!
Runway is a family and dog-friendly, mixed-use space offers all the amenities and safety of a suburban neighborhood right in the middle of Silicon Beach. There are several great restaurants, shops, residences and a ton of conveniences.
The complex is home to Whole Foods, and one of my favorite Mexican restaurants – Sol Cocina (I reviewed Sol for the Westside Today – the food is amazing).
Enjoy rides, live music, crafts, caroling, shopping, and actual sledding on a real snow hill! And of course, we’ll have the Big Guy himself…Santa Claus! (who visits from 11am – 3pm every Saturday and Sunday through December 18th). Bring the kids, bring their list and join the fun!
