Matter Studio Gallery will throw a closing art party for “IMAGINARY MATTER” by Bibi Davidson on October 2, 2022 from 4-7pm. The solo exhibition opened on September 4, 2022 and closes on October 2, 2022. See below for more info about the artist.

Bibi Davidson is an Israeli born, Los Angeles based artist whose illustrative style of artworks are allegorical representations of the chaotic and unsettling realities of her childhood.  Her boldly colored narrative paintings are autobiographical which include social commentary, while simultaneously layered with elements of contextual humor.  The ever-present girl in the red dress that populates many of her paintings, functions as her alter ego, symbolizing her inner turmoil and and self awareness.  Through the process of painting, Davidson charms and calms her inner self.  Her captivating and intentionally quirky works investigate personal and universal conflicts, as well as the chaos that have come to define our times.
