Painted over the last two and a half years during extended visits to Cuba, Gabriel Sanchez has created a deeply empathetic body of work that captures the spirit of anemerging avant-garde living and working in Cuba.
Evita Tezeno’s first exhibition in Los Angeles is titled “Better Days.” The solo show features colorful collage paintings that depict a cast of black and brown characters in harmonious and joyful everyday scenes inspired by the artist’s life, memory & dreams.
