Hamzianpour & Kia Gallery celebrate a solo exhibition by Galia Linn. An artist’s reception for “Mai 49 Watercolors” was held on Saturday, January 14, 2023. The exhibition will remain on view through February 4, 2023. Save the date (January 21, from 4:00 –5:45 pm) for a catalog launch event with a conversation between Shana Nys Dambrot and Galia.

The solo exhibition marks the first time a non-Iranian artist is to be featured at the gallery. Known for clay and ceramic installations, mice media environments and performative collaborations, Linn creates spaces to process traumas, to exorcise deep wounds, by giving them space and presence. In her new series, Linn brings her sculptural sensibility to two dimensional works: watercolor paintings textured with salt that areas monument alas they are personal, intimate, and inviting.
