Created as part of Allen’s series of works (artworks, music and theater) related to the French artist, playwright and actor Antonin Artaud, “MOMO Lo Mismo” is a fictional investigation of Artaud’s psychological wanderings while restrained during a 17-day journey in the dark hold of the freighter Washington in 1937, and later, in various mental institutions.

Suspended from the ceiling, “MOMO Lo Mismo” features six video screens presented in marionette form, with projections of Allen’s wife Jo Harvey Allen in her performance of “Daughter of the Heart” — an excerpt from the theater occurrence “Ghost Ship Rodez” which was produced by Allen in 2005.

Total run time for the video installation is approximately 30 minutes. Following the live stream, the artist will be available to answer your questions during a live Q&A.
