In Westwood…The World’s Largest Vegan Festival returns and will be held in Westwood Village today and tomorrow. The Vegan Street Fair is now in its eleventh year and has something for everyone. Yes even meat eaters will be surprised how good the food is. The event is FREE so you can purchase as much or as little food as you choose. In fact, each vendor will have at least one for item on sale for $5 or less. With over one hundred vegan vendors, the foodie fest is also family and dog friendly. North Hollywood

It’s time to pay tribute to talented women in the theatre with the 2026 Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival. The yearly weekend event hosted a gala on Thursday, and it had its first day of the festival on Friday. So technically today is the third day of the festival. Today and tomorrow’s events take place at the Theatre 68 Arts Complex;

Chris Sharp Gallery hosts an art talk with Matt Paweski, Ricky Swallow, as well as Naoki Sutter-Shudo. The conversation with be moderated by gallerist Chris Sharp. Billis/Williams Gallery presents Kenny Harris: Venice, Stephanie Serpick: New Paintings, as well as Featuring: Patricia (see below). An LA-based artist Kenny Harris, brings a personal look at his beloved neighborhood and home of twenty-five years with his Venice Series. While Serpick’s paintings explore themes of contemplation as well as isolation, they also rejoice in renewal.

Last but not least the third artist Patricia Chidlaw is known for her Los Angeles urban landscape paintings. I happen to love the work of this artist. Highland Park

Avenue 50 Studio on Fig throws an opening art party for The Sierras of California: 1962–2025. The two person show by Katsu Yokoyama and Raoul De la Sota features over 60 works. The tranquil follows their consistent journey hiking the John Muir Trail. Moreover they have captured the trail’s winding offshoots. Aabee Bleue Project celebrates the work of Ardeshir Tabrizi with an opening art party. This is the artist’s first exhibition with the gallery. Tabrizi’s new artworks include seven paintings from the “Rise” series. The exhibition focuses on something we all have to deal with – life and death. At the moment his father is dealing with a lung cancer diagnosis. Gallery 169 hosts a screening of the film Outsider. Immediately following the movie, enjoy opening art party exhibiting the work of Maury Ornest, who is also the subject of the Outsider. The 40-minute award-winning documentary features the life and work of the late Maury Ornest. Additionally it deals with mental illness, family, and the power of art to sustain a life. A professional baseball player, Ornest’s life took a diversion after his first psychotic break. Painting became a saving grace in his life. Mid City

Brassroots District celebrates its self titled album with Brassroots District: LA ’74. The immersive theater-concert takes place at Jewel’s Catch One and brings audiences back to the year 1974. Meanwhile, the band released a new single, “Takin’ Back Day Dreamin’,” featuring Robert Randolph. The release follows growing buzz around fan favorite “You Caught Me Baby.” One of our staff attended this experience and absolutely loved it, moreover, he is going back with his wife.
