September 4-5 2025 Art Parties and Events

Wow – well Thursday Friday September 4-5 2025 Art Parties and Events are officially off the chain. We always expect a big start to September, but both this weekend AND next weekend are jam packed with art parties. The submission are coming in at an extraordinary rate. Tonight brings us the DTLA Art night with multiple openings taking place in all areas of LA. Musichead Gallery celebrates the band Oasis in a big way. Then we have lots of live music as well, and theatre too. Friday we have another Musichead event, and more art music and comedy.

It’s DTLA Art Night (yes there is a new group with a new name branding the First Thursday Art event). I have yet to attend, but let me know if you go. I do know several galleries such as Hive , and GDCA will participate (and they happen to be right next to each other). Normally I would say pop by Gabba Gallery, however, they are busy doing an install tonight for their September 13, 2025 opening.

Rita House unveils The Balance of Elements by Liana Grigoryan. The deeply personal series is focused on the Five Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit. Musichead Gallery debuts Oasis: Be Here Now, a special exhibition celebrating the return of Oasis and their long-awaited Live ’25 Tour. Coinciding with the band’s highly anticipated Rose Bowl shows, the exhibition features rare, early photographs of the band. These were taken by legendary British music photographer Kevin Cummins, captured just before the release of Oasis’ landmark debut album, Definitely Maybe.

The exhibition officially opens today, Thursday, September 4, 2025 starting at 10am for all those Oasis fans to get a jump on the exhibition. DTLA

Murmurs brings us two new exhibitions. Pallbearer is a solo exhibition by Y. Malik Jalal to be featured in the main gallery. This new body of work continues Jalal’s exploration of interiors and the tensions between domestic and vehicular space. For this exhibition, he turns toward fantasy, the poetics of ruin, and the economy of loss, drawing from the material languages of junkyards and found photography. This marks the artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery.
