Get inspired with an artist talk at The Skirball Center with Gary Baseman. Tonight he discusses his recent travels to his parents’ hometowns in Eastern Europe and dissects the complex history of the area, a place vastly transformed from when his family called it home.  The artist reflects on the experience and on his own heritage, and shares tales he heard of “mythical creatures” while on this journey.

A Q&A and book signing follow the program. See image: Gary Baseman, Sketchbook Drawing of Mythical Creature, 2013
