Also Space District offers a wonderful show entitled “State of the Blues,” featuring Jeff Dunas. See image left, “John Lee Hooker.”

Fashions Night out takes place once again…..so head to the streets strutting your stuff….now depending on where you go, it could be a bust. West Hollywood definately does it up…Melrose, Robertson Blvd and The Beverly Center have it going on. Robertson will be having street party with a laser show and music by Mayer Hawthorne.
If you prefer to stay near the beach, some select stores Abbot Kinney will be participating with some special deals.
Stores such as Coutula (1204 AK) are offering 20-50% off on clothing and some jewlery. Others like Bohemian Exchange (1358 AK) and Pamela Barish (1327 AK) will be offering refreshments. Made In Earth, (1506 AK) offer sales and snacks.
Heist (1100 AK) will be putting on their annual “Gold Rush” party, Bring in your gold and silver to trade for purchases in the store. You know the food trucks will be out….but unless Abbot Kinney does more than last year….don’t expect too much. My suggestion, go with a gaggle of girls and make your own fun!
Unlike Abbot Kinney the merchants on Main Street really know how to work together….they have several events planned as a group and also do their own things. Last year’s Main Street Fashion Night Out was quite fun.
This year Main Street has over 35 participating merchants…and they include all types of businesses. Check out the SM Main St website for a full listing. Here are some of my favorites.
Mindfulnest offers 15% discount all evening, drinks and snacks. (Discount does not apply to commissioned merchandise)
