79th Organ is Brunswick’s first solo show with the gallery and will reveal a new series of paintings which exemplify a distinctive technique that he has been developing for the past decade.

The exhibition will focus on a body of large-scale abstract works, in both color and black and white, characterized by slick, iridescent surfaces of illusory movement and depth.

Then in the Miracle Mile area…The Fahey/Klein gallery is pleased to present a selection of photographs from renowned photographer Ellen von Unwerth in her exhibition, “Made in America.” The exhibition revels in the uniqueness and originality of Americana imagery by extoling the concept of Hollywood personalities and pop culture icons it has produced such as Marilyn Monroe, Lolita, Bettie Page, and even Barbie and Ken.

Head to San Pedro for a fun artwalk. I have been to several times…its a nice one.

The tour starts at 6:30 in the San Pedro Chamber Boardroom Gallery, presenting “Life with Science” – the works of Angel’s Gage studio artists Phoebe Barnum and Patrick Grugan.

The show was curated and installed by Isabelle Lutterodt, Angel’s Gate’s Director of Visual Arts.

Angels Ink Gallery introduces the terrific drawings from a new artist to San Pedro, Hyung Mo Lee,  who has just taken a studio at Angels Gate Cultural Center.

Examples of his work in sumi ink on paper will be in the “Gorgeous Drawings” show.  Other featured artists will be Neil Nagy, Judith Turner Kinda, Iva Hladis and Denice Bartels.
