POW ArtPlatformLAArt Platform – Los Angeles, an all weekend injection of art takes place at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar. There is a charge for this one…daily as well as an all weekend package. See below for tickets link.

Enjoy both local and international artists, dealers, collectors, museums and art enthusiasts all coming together to celebrate LA’s unique art community. Sounds like a fun art party to me!

There are also some amazing galleries that are participating in Art Platform Los Angeles such as Los Angeles Art Association who presents Ping Pong 2012. Ping Pong is a multi-destination, cross-cultural collaboration featuring artists from Los Angeles, Miami and Basel.

It originally debuted at Projektraum M54 during Art Basel and now moves to Art Platform before completing its exhibition schedule in Miami in December.

LAAA has secured scholar/critic Alpesh Kantilal Patel as the curator for this ArtPlatform iteration. Featured LAAA9.28 LAAA ArtPlatformLA artists include Dmitry Kmelnitsky, Susan Sironi and Mei Xian Qiu. In addition to the LAAA artists, Ping Pong will present Miami artists Robert Chambers, Mette Tommerup & Pip Brant, Walter Robinson and Jacek J.Kolasinski and Basel artists Franziska Furter and Sue Irion.

Also Timothy Yarger Fine Art (Booth 701) showcases artists Chul-Hyun Ahn, Carole Feuerman, Cristobal Valecillos, Hebru Brantley, Jim McHugh, Lori Hyland, Louise Nevelson, Michele Mattei, Robert Schefman, Udo Noger, Yossi Govrin, and Zhenya Gershman.

Garboushian Gallery will be on hand at booth 505 featuring new paintings by John Seery.

Ikon Ltd (Booth 321) features artists Damien Hirst, Fernando Botero, Ilya Bolotowsky, Jean Dubuffet (see image), Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, Paul McCarthy, Richard Prince, Robert Rauschenberg and Yayoi Kusama.
