The Santa Monica Playhouse Jewish Heritage Program presents BOY VEY – an autobiographical solo show about how a Jewish girl’s quest for love unveils the bizarre connections between her misbegotten dating life and inherited Holocaust trauma. This humorous, touching and powerful theatre piece is written and performed by Rachel Kaftan, directed by Dana Resnick, with original direction by Katie Stottlemire and will play Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sunday matinees at 2pm, September 11 through October 30, 2021.

BOY VEY The Play debuted as a livestream from the Santa Monica Playhouse in April 2021 and returned as an Audience Fave for the BFF Binge Fringe Festival of Free Theatre ENCORE live-stream earlier this month. The upcoming limited engagement will be its first in-person run.

BOY VEY The Play runs Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm, September 11 through October 30 in The Other Space at Santa Monica Playhouse. General admission is $30, with discounts available for students, teachers, seniors and members of the military past and present.
