Mount Wilson Observatory continues with its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Enjoy some Jazz with Michael Valerio (bass) & friends – two shows 3pm and 5pm. See below for ticket info. The performances are presented inside the iconic vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope. The concert series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan. Remember to check with the venue for up-to-date covid protocols and guidelines – (proof of vaccination and masks MAY be required once again).

Jazz with Michael Valerio (bass) & friends. The band includes:  Michael Valerio, Bass & Vocals; Mona Takavoli, Percussion & Vocals; Errol Cooney, Guitar. The afternoon concert features modern art songs with selections by Paul Simon, Lennon and McCartney, Lieber, Stoller and King, Valerio, and more.

The concert’s hour-long performances are at 3:00pm and 5:00pm (same program).  There will be an artist reception at 4:00pm. Attendees from both the 3:00 and 5:00 shows are invited to meet the musicians at this reception.

All proceeds go to support the Mt. Wilson Institute in its mission to preserve, protect and promote the Observatory and the science accomplished there.
