Or in Venice…

Altered Space offers a group show “POP FRINGE” is a showcase of 3 contemporary painters that walk along the frayed edge of the “lowbrow/street” establishment.

POW Sun 5.26 AlteredSpaceWindow

MEEX ONE (see image, right) pushes the signifiers of graffiti’s mark-making vocabulary to a state of heightened ambience, while maintaining a sense of critical urgency. His paintings lie in the intersection of beauty and vandalism.

MICHELE MIKESELL (see image, left) seeks fantastical possibilities to real-world oddities. Her paintings tell their own other-worldly history: avant-classicism from a parallel universe.

TYLER FERREIRA pulls from the fragmented unconscious of street art’s recent “coming of age”. His large scale drawings and stone-block prints illustrate narratives about narratives.
