One more in Santa Monica….

“Canvas StreSat 4.27 CanvasStreetsFlyerets” opens at Destroy Rebuild Repeat Gallery this Saturday, April 27th. Street Art comes to Santa Monca! Yeah…I think Santa Monica may be in for a wild night with this one night pop-up street art exhibition. The gallery opened just a bit over a year and has been creating quite the scene…so if you’re looking for a fun art party….here ya go!!!

See this week’s Santa Monica Mirror for my article about this event.

Curated by Chris Kane, “Canvas Streets” celebrates the work of street and grafitti artists such as Dillon, Annie Preece, Sarah Sandlin, Gregory Siff and many more, plus special guest Brooke Harker.

Brooke Harker is a prolific Los Angeles based artist. She takes the time to visit local galleries and see the work of her fellow artists. “I keep a list of artists whose paintings I dream of having one day,” says Harker. “I paint my paintings for the process, once they are done most of them are meant for somebody else.”

She continues, “I want to fill my home with the paintings from other people who light up my soul. When I find an artist or painting that resonates with me deeply, I feel like I can breathe better…and I am thankful that there are so many artists on the planet.”

For mlowres BrookeHarker AbbottKinney1ore information about Brooke Harker, see her website at http://www.brookeharker.com/

Dillon is another talented artist featured in the show. He grew up in LA and has left his mark, just about everywhere. Inspired by artists such as Rone, Vhils, C215, Dillon continues to push through the barriers that traditional art culture imposes on us.

Be sure to pop into this one…hey, it’s a one day show…you got only one chance to catch this show.
