September 22, 2012: Pick of the Week...Autumn LIghts LA, Downtown LA!

AUTUMN LIGHTS LA 2012 is the Pick of the Week.

A fun multi media light art showcase, the event takes place in the evening from 6:00 pm on… at Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles…so come on down and enjoy the art party!

AUTUMN LIGHTS LA 2012 is curated and produced by downtown artist, Lilli Muller, a community organizer for the downtown and Art’s District for the past 20 years.

The event has grown tremendously over its seven years, celebrating an unprecedented success in 2010 attracting over 15,000 people in one night at Pershing Square.

This year there will be many more illuminated interactive featuring aritsts such as Debi Cable.

AUTUMN LIGHTS LA 2012 is a multi media light art spectacular celebrating local artists, involving different cultures and attracting people from near and far. It is the only experience of its kind on the West coast.

This year presentations from light artists from all over the world including Canada, Germany,
France and Mexico are added to the roster. AUTUMN LIGHTS LA 2012 is a community
event, free to the public, family friendly, and entertaining for all ages.

The fantastic light art experiences include light and sound performances, live music, interactive light and sound sculptures, 3-D theatre performances, interactive blacklight live painting, installations, projections and much more.

AUTUMN LIGHTS LA 2012 is a confluence of light, color and subject matter conveyed and brightened through the contributions of the audience’s diversity and life experience.

Lights switch on at 6 PM September 22, 2012: Pershing Square will be literally transformed and illuminated as the entertainment continues and a diverse range of illuminated artworks and projections light up park architecture and surrounding buildings.

Autumn Lights LA is presented in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, Pershing Square,and part of the Pershing Square Art squared Gallery programming, and the Pershing Square Advisory Board.
