Our Pick of the Week takes place on Saturday. Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA), a nationally recognized non-profit art organization, holds its Annual Benefit Auction at Gallery 825. This all-media auction is a great way to collect affordable art from emerging LA artists.

Here’s how the night will go down….The live auction will begin promptly at 7:15pm, and the silent auction closes at 8:30pm. The live auction will be presented by Bonhams. Just in case you didn’t know….Bonhams, founded in 1793, is one of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques.
The present company was formed by the merger in November 2001 of Bonhams & Brooks and Phillips Son and Neale UK. In August 2002, the company acquired Butterfields, the principal firm of auctioneers on the West Coast of America. Bonhams has a worldwide network of offices and regional representatives in 25
countries offering sales advice and valuation services in 57 specialist areas.

The auction, widely embraced by the art community and leading collectors as a showcase of art trends, will feature more than 100 works by emerging and mid-career artists, as well as celebrated luminaries. All proceeds benefit LAAA and Los Angeles’ emerging artist community.
