This October 19-22, 2017, WestEdge Design Fair, the West Coast’s premier contemporary design fair is back at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica to showcase 150+ leading design brands ranging from furniture and lighting, to kitchen and bath lines.
The not-to-be-missed weekend of design kicks off with the WestEdge opening night party presented in part by: Citi, Resource Furniture, Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home, Samsonite and Samsung to benefit Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House on Thursday, October 19 from 7-10 PM. In partnership with Samsonite, the worldwide leader in travel luggage and accessories, 24 street artists working across the country from Los Angeles to New York will create one-of-a-kind, custom luggage pieces highlighting ‘The Art of Travel’. A. Moret, Founder of Installation Magazine, the digital contemporary art publication, has curated this unique and imaginative exhibit.
Artist Brayden Bugazzi’s has created an art piece with a Samsonite bag which will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. He also created a painted Barrel for the BotArt International collection (botart.org). BotArt International began with the idea of creating a collection of contemporary artistic creations on wooden barrels. They were originally created by the 300-year-old Can Ribas Winery in 2008 in Mallorca, Spain, under the sponsorship of the Minister of Culture of Spain and the Presidency and Insular Council of the Balearic Islands.
Brayden said his barrel was inspired by space travel, and how it can be controversial topic in society with all of the turmoil that is going on in the world right now. He said he enjoyed creating the work for BotArt. “I am also excited to show at West Edge Design Fair, because it is the top of the top of not only interior design, but in innovation in the spaces human occupy. Plus there will be speakers, and people involved that are giants in their prospective industries. You can find Botart collection at the BotArt International booth #400.
WestEdge Design Fair is a three-day event that offers the best in modern design, all in an environment designed to engage, entertain and inspire.
