The Craft in America Center presents an art talk with John Luebtow in conjunction with its current exhibition – “Democracy 2020: Craft & the Election.” Luebtow will discuss his life & work, as well as his dynamic and innovative career history. The talk will be moderated by Center director Emily Zaiden. The exhibition will remain on view through Jan 2, 2021. See below to register for the Zoom event.

Monumental glass artist John Luebtow will discuss his life & work, as well as his dynamic and innovative career history. Luebtow’s sculptures range in scale from inches to tens of feet. Over the past 40+ years, Luebtow has become one of the most respected names in contemporary glass sculpture. He has received commissions from major public and private corporations including Hewlett-Packard, American Airlines, and NESTLÉ and he holds two distinct MFAs from UCLA, one in ceramics and one in glass..
