C Gallery on Broadway hosts a closing reception on March 8, for “For Art’s Sake, Celebrating 50 Years of the Art of Michael Ezzell.” Michael Ezzell, born in Texas, spent his early years abroad in England where he was fortunate to wander the magical countryside where the many great authors; Beatrice Potter, Lewis Carroll, J R Tolkien, Shakespeare, Sir Cannon Doyle and William Wordsworth also found inspiration.

He studied ceramics in college and at the legendary Yacht Pottery in Denmark and taught at David Greene Pottery in England and now has a studio in Laguna Beach. He enjoys the exploration and study of technique, the challenge of problem solving, and working with different forms and textures. The curved line versus the straight, clean surfaces versus rough, wherever Art has gone, he adds his own interpretation.

Parking Options: A parking lot is located behind and just to the northwest of the gallery. It can be accessed via an alleyway, turn left just before Hotel Royal (the hotel is at 431 E Broadway).
