In early 2017, Boomtown Brewery embarked on a journey to bring artisanal beer to the artists of Downtown Los Angeles’s Arts District, and to embrace both their creativity and community. Boomtown Brewery crafts Old World, unfiltered, gravity fed, full flavored beers with integrity; they also showcase a commitment to the arts by serving as a venue and showcase for artists and galleries. Boomtown is a haven for expression. It’s what the Arts District is all about. Local artists design many of Boomtown’s labels (there’s actually an artist series) as well as furnishings, fixtures and structures.

Boomtown only weathered the pandemic with unprecedented support from the community, selling beer right from the brewery’s loading dock. The taproom has recently returned as a space where people gather to enjoy beer and games, express themselves creatively, and engage with like-minded people. Boomtown hosts a variety of events—from DJ sets to gallery showings, benefits, block parties, bicycle rides, and more—all in the name of contributing to the neighborhood. Welcome back.
