Athenessa LA Gallery presents a two person exhibition featuring Xavier Deshoulières & Yassine Mekhnache on June 12, 2021, 12-6pm. These established French painters beautifully share the gallery space, in which their artworks create a wonderful dialogue.

Xavier Deshoulières a musician hidden behind his brushes. Precise gestures like a bow stroke, inner tension in a deep hand. Sustained and exhilarating rhythm in an endless abundance which gradually reveals its song to us.  All the fields of a possible wonder.

Yassine Mekhnache’s art enamors the eye and stirs the soul. Like an ancient manuscript filled with symbols or a pilgrim’s treasure chest: you find the rising sun, colored clouds, an appetite for elsewhere, the spiritual perfume of the most inspired Sufi texts, dancing stars and soaring birds.
