Santa Monica College Foundation presents STUDIO ELEVEN AT WORK, an art exhibition and fundraiser (free admission) benefiting Santa Monica College’s art programs. Over 40 original works created by 22 Los Angeles-based artists will be available for purchase during the opening reception and through August 4, 2018 (gallery hours; Tuesday – Friday, 12-5pm and Saturday, 11am-4pm).

StudioEleven at Colburn

StudioEleven is a group of independent artists who have worked and studied at artist Tom Wudl’s Los Angeles studio. They extend their work through exhibitions, complementary educational experiences, and continuing conversations. StudioEleven has produced exhibitions at The Neutra Institute Museum and Gallery, The Colburn School, etc. The Art Department of Santa Monica College offers an extensive and very well-received program in Studio Art, Art History and Design. SMC is known to have one of the best foundation art programs in the state. SMC art students are regularly recruited and awarded scholarships by the most prominent art schools in the country, including Cal Arts, Art Center College of Art and Design, San Francisco Art Institute, the Chicago Art Institute, Rhode Island College of Art and Design, and the California College of Arts and Crafts The Santa Monica College Foundation is grateful to the artists of StudioEleven whose donations have made this exhibition and fundraiser possible, and to Pomar Junction Vineyard and Winery for providing complimentary wine tasting for guests at the reception.
