The event takes place in conjunction to an exhibition currently on exhibit at the gallery. “A View through the Lens” is an interactive exhibit with the abstract paintings of Chris Shouse which opened on January 12, 2019.

“Growing up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I have an attachment to nature and our role in it. I look towards natural objects when searching for flow and beauty. Even during my time deployed as a soldier in the United States Army, I found myself often inspecting things around me, more marveled than afraid. My abstract art marries the influences of my past experiences with my current interests and passions. I believe each work to be a composition viewed through a lens.” Chris Shouse.

The figurative sculptures of local artist, Susan Erikson Hawkins will complement the exhibit. Enjoy appetizers, refreshments and music by jazz guitarist Frank Potenza. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit USA Veterans through ‘Rock for Vets.’

A parking lot is located behind and just to the northwest of the gallery. It can be accessed via an alleyway, turn left just before Hotel Royal (the hotel is at 431 E Broadway).
