The Wallis continues to host in-person events, although some have been re-scheduled to later dates.

I know we are all concerned about this new Covid variant, some more than others. If you prefer virtual events, feel free to check out a performance by Hershey Felder.

This man is truly talented. He creates a one-man show about famed composers. He literally embodies the spirit of the composer, accompanying himself on piano. I have attended with our writers – CLICK HERE to read a review.

“Hershey Felder, Live from Florence” also features special guests and can be viewed online.

Here’s some info:
The story begins in Vienna in 1786. Meet Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through the eyes of his librettist, Lorenzo Da Ponte, an unusual character in his own right. Out of this unique collaboration, three of the world’s most beloved operas, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, Cosi Fan Tutte would emerge. Out of the two collaborators, one would be forever remembered, and the other…would not.

With Nathan Gunn, Ekaterina Siurina, Hila Plitmann, Timothy Renner, Xenia Tziouvaras, Jay Natelle, members of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Filippo Ciabatti as MOZART and Hershey Felder as LORENZO Da PONTE.

Ticket buyers are invited to a live talk-back with Hershey on Wednesday, January 12th at 8pm PST via Zoom. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets. The event premiered on Sunday, January 9, 2022, and will continue for an additional week of on-demand viewing (January 16, 2022). https://thewallis.org/mozart
