bG Gallery presents a body of work by ceramic artist Linda Smith, Heads, Cats and Totems. Large scale heads, six-foot totem works and experimental cat sculptures makeup this unique collection. Linda continues themes drawn from her daily life, relationships with people and animals, working organically from her subconscious, and commenting on the world around her. Her subjects, like her style and technique are direct and charmingly playful and whimsical while often dealing with heavier subjects of relationships, love and life.

Linda’s artistic practice spans over 30 years in painting, prints, ceramics and mosaics. She has exhibited extensively throughout the west coast and is the recipient of numerous awards in craft arts. In 2006, Linda was the first artist (aside from Beatrice Wood) granted a solo exhibition at the Beatrice Wood Center for Art in Ojai, CA. Her work is part of the permanent collection at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona. She has been a featured artist and her ceramics are offered for sale in the gift shops of the Craft and Folk Art Museum, the Fowler Museum, and AMOCA.
