Skirball Cultural Center presents Hanukkah Festival: This Little Light of Mine on Sunday, December 2, 2018. This celebration of the ancient Jewish festival of light explores the themes of justice, courage, and persistence at the core of the Hanukkah story and the current exhibition “Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.”

Get on your feet for musical performances by klezmer band Yale Strom & Hot Pstromi, sing along with roaming musicians Janice Markham and Melinda West, join dance leaders Bruce Bierman and Gilberto Melendez, and enjoy the uplifting vocals of the choir Urban Voices Project. Then create a little light of your own with artist Belize Wilheim, decorate chocolate Hanukkah gelt with ArtBites’ Maite Gomez-Rejón, watch Noah’s Ark storytellers recount the age-old story of Hanukkah in both English and Spanish, and attend a special holiday storybook reading.

Visit the exhibition “Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” or check out the Hanukkah lamps on display in Visions and Values. And explore Noah’s Ark at the Skirball™ (limited on-hour tickets available on site only on a first-come, first-served basis).

Admission: $12 General; $9 Seniors, Students (full-time) and children over 12 years of age; $7 – Children 2–12; Members and Children under 2 are FREE.
