The Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers will once again perform at the famous shopping cart Christmas tree in Santa Monica. The event is called Miracle on Main Street and it takes place on Saturday, December 10, from 5:00pm till 8:00pm.
The event starts a bit early this year at the CA Heritage Museum lawn (just down the street from Edgemar) – there will be a kids area for face painting, etc. Then Santa Claus arrives at 4pm. At 5pm the tree lighting at the CA Heritage Museum takes place at Ocean Park and Main, (the site of the Sunday Santa Monica Farmers Market) followed by a candlelight walk to an amazing Shopping Cart Christmas Tree at Edgemar Pl (by Ben & Jerry’s and Peet’s Coffee, 90401).
Here, beginning at 5:30/5:45pm, the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers will sing a short set (six songs) and will perform at Edgemar Place, then stroll down Main Street (nearby area) thru 7:30pm. The Rockers will perform holiday classics, and more!
The Shopping Cart Christmas Tree is designed by Santa Monica artist Anthony Schmitt.
The Off their Jingle Bell Rockers are not your typical holiday group. Yes they happen to be terrific singers, but they also dress incredibly flamboyant, and have an amazing amount of energy, which makes for a truly fun and lively show.
The Rockers add a different slant to Christmas Caroling. Their offbeat harmonies and original arrangements bring a zany twist to the classic Christmas Carol.
This eccentric group also performs its own original holiday songs. The Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers include Catherine Allison, Rory Johnston, Kathy Leonardo, Jon Preston, Mikal Sandoval, and Suzy Williams.
