Celebrate the season at Bergamot Station Arts Center, Santa Monica’s world-renowned art complex. 30 Open Doors, a one-day-only holiday event, is an opportunity to shop for unique artworks and gifts for everyone on your list.
This annual celebration is an enlightened and stress-free shopping experience complete with art exhibitions, wreath-making workshops, artist talks, live music, food, and spirits. Bergamot Café will be offering festive holiday treats and drinks. Admission is free.
Shop local this holiday season by visiting the fine art galleries and cultural institutions of Bergamot Station Arts Center, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Bergamot is alive and thriving as it prepares for the arrival of the Metro Expo rail line in 2016!2–4 pm: Provocative Art Ornament Workshop Santa Monica Museum of Art, G1 Create holiday ornaments inspired by infamous and provocative works of art.
Many of the galleries will participate in the event and will offer holiday treats, cider and more.

Visitors participate in exploring the possibilities of a non-darkroom
2–5 pm: Tea Party: Patrick Johnston Reading Sip tea and listen as Patrick performs a reading from his book about a whimsical world where tea pots and cookie jars battle for the Queen’s attention
3 pm: At TAG Gallery, enjoy an artist talk Lorraine Bubar, Anne Ramis, Katherine Rohrbacher in conjunction with its current exhibition.
The exhibit runs through December 27, 2014.
Landscapes: Fact and Fiction, Anne Ramis:
Creating in the spirit of artist Robert Rauschenberg’s combination techniques, artist Anne Ramis applies her own combinative artistry to her latest body of work. Working within several different types of media, incorporating drawing, painting and collage elements, Ramis’ ethereal landscapes present a dual sense of foreboding and wonder.
Mountain Lore, Lorraine Bubar:
Lorraine Bubar’s current exhibition was inspired by her Artist-¬in-¬Residency spent in Denali National Park in Alaska where she immersed herself in the diversity of life thriving in that vast wilderness.

Rohrbacher’s large format paintings offer a confrontational view of surface beauty. Charcoal and oil self-¬portraits offer a glimpse of the psychological impact of surgery in a series titled “Nose Job,” as Rohrbacher presents her own likeness as the face of change.
