C Gallery presents “Kentro: An Exhibition.” The group exhibition showcases work of Santa Fe Art Colony Artists. The SFAC is one of the oldest art colonies in the downtown Los Angeles area, founded in 1987.We like to think of SFAC as the center ( the heartbeat ) of the DTLA Art District. Kentro is center. Fourteen SFAC artists will be part of the exhibition at Studio C Gallery.
Artists incude: Lillian Abel, Dawn Arrowsmith, Julie Arnoff, Mary Bonic, Fatemeh Burnes, Trine Churchill, Deity, Mike Dommermuth, Don Lewis, Maxwell McMaster, Bill Neal, Peggy Nichols,
Ewa Pietaszak, Francesco Siqueiros and Peter Wowkowych. More SFAC residents artists will also be showing their work in their studios, during this event. Pick up a self-guided tour maps at Studio C.
A Figurative Painting Class will be in session at Studio C for a portion of the time, during the event. From 11 am to 3 pm. You are welcome to come view the artists at work. There will be refreshments from 11:30 am to 3 pm and an informal round table discussion, in the courtyard, at 3 pm. If you have not experienced one of Studio C Gallery exhibitions or the one and only SFAC Annual Open Studio Event, you are in for a treat. SFAC is one of those hidden gems in the heart of DTLA.
