A new class series continues with Watercolor Essentials 2.
Los Angeles based artist Pamela Harnois will guide students through step-by-step watercolor painting techniques. No worries – even if you’ve never painted in watercolor. Pamela will take the mystery out of painting so you can take home your very own creative masterpiece.

Come celebrate as ROXSTONES n BEADS reveals their newest line ofhand-made jewelry. Experience the launch of Rox Stones N Beads at the Word is Art Gallery. On display in the front gallery windows!

Saturday, August 24 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm: Fund Raiser “A Place to Bark”
Do you love animals? The Word is ART a Fund Raiser for A Place to Bark takes place on Saturday Aug. 24. Word is Art Gallery will be opening its private patio for sales of quality home furnishings, furniture,some revamped by artists, clothing, and of course, ART. 25% of the proceeds will be donated to A Place to Bark.
A Place To Bark Animal Rescue is a no kill and adoption rescue dedicated to the welfare of animals, founded by Bernie Berlin in 2001.They rescue animals from high kill shelters and foster them until they are healthy, placing them for adoption through Humane Societies in various parts of the country.
Sunday, August 25 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm: Watercolor Essentials 3 Workshop
Here Pamela Harnois will help you create beautiful watercolor paintings through the techniques of watercolor. You will learn:
• Create exciting watercolor artwork
• Develop new techniques for building your paintings
• Have fun making your own greeting cards out of your watercolors
Additional supplies will be available to make cards out of the paintings you create.
Every Tuesday starting August 13 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm: “Tea and Artistry” OPEN STUDIO

nt, Sip and Create you own masterpiece! Whether you are an experienced artist or a novice, our Art on the Patio OPEN STUDIO series will delight and enlighten you. Enjoy fresh brewed iced tea while you paint your very own masterpiece. Featured art instructor will be Pamela Harnois.
