Bergamot Station

The Bergamot Station Art Center’s Fall Open Event takes place today. Many galleries are participating, but many are  hosting events later in the day…see below for our picks. Moreover Marshall Gallery hosted an opening reception yesterday to celebrate Fabiola Menchelli’s third solo exhibition with the gallery. Track 16 presents Blood Orange by Roberta Gentry. The painter finds inspiration from La Dame à la licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn) tapestries created in Flanders around 1500.  The exhibition title refers to the deep red-orange color used in the original tapestries. Thus Gentry utilizes that same hue in her series.
