Studio C Gallery, The Weekend Gallery along with the Santa Fe Art Colony hosts its annual open studio event. Taking place in conjunction with Maiden L.A., a month long, county-wide art event, artists will open up their studios to the public offering great deals to buy directly from the artist. On the ground floor, Studio C Gallery, an artist operated space presents “Pump,” a solo exhibition featuring nearly 40 wall mounted, ceramic, and mixed media sculptures by Sierra Pecheur.

Pecheur will hold a ceramic workshop from 2 to 4 pm before the opening reception (see below for info). Participants will be able to create their own record of history of artifacts and relics – pieces they would like to be found 100 or 1000 years from now. At the closing of the show, the pieces will have been fired and are ready to be picked up by the participants. A percentage of the artist’s proceeds from the exhibition will benefit NRDC (National Resources Defense Council). 2349 So.
