December is the time to put some ice skates on. Many of you may not know, I starting ice skating when I was just 6 years old and toyed with the idea of going professional – Remember Olymic champion Dorothy Hamill?…she skated at my neighborhood skating rink. My skating partner (my brother) dropped me way too many times…that helped change my mind.

Head downtown to the Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square, celebrates its 20th anniversary, in downtown LA. Surrounded by city lights, it made a fantastic romantic or family setting. During the day the views are breathtaking as well.

Head to the beach AND do some skating while you are there…what more could you want? Check website for admission for all-day skating, which includes skate rental.
