The Cinefamily presents “Rock & Roll Experiments” with an introduction by Toni Basil.
This show’s line-up — a reverent glimpse at the early stages of the symbiotic melding of two mediums — places loopy Zappa fare alongside Christina Hornisher’s structuralist speculations, and George Lucas’ prescient early work beside Chris Langdon’s pared-down homage to ’60s singer-songwriter Lou Christie.
The screening runs from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $10, or $6 for students/seniors; free for Filmforum members. The Cinefamily is located at 611 N. Fairfax Ave., LA, 90036; (323) 655-2510; http://cinefamily.org/
