As part of Made in LA, the Hammer Museum presents Zac Monday. Compelled by the impact of touch, Zac has developed a practice centered on the possibility of interaction between MadeinLA Logopeople and objects.

In this series of performances, figures wearing the artist’s vibrant, ornate, fantastical hand-crocheted costumes present various scenarios in the gallery spaces. Monday’s characters call attention to architectural moments, emotional expectations, and the psychogeographic space of the museum. They animate the building with mysterious, playful, and haunting physical forms that dawdle, crawl, and linger, encouraging us to be unselfconscious, curious, and brave in our experience of them, as well as asking us to consider our role within an art space.

POW MadeinLA peoplePerformances are random, bringing an element of spontaneity. (I love that…so you never know if you will become part of the act) Be aware the museum is FREE on Thursdays.
